Culturing HL-1 cells

Post  mcs on Wed Jun 11, 2008 2:23 am

Hello I have read the method about culturing and measure on cardiac HL-1 cells and I have a question: Do you also use fibronectin on the MEA-plates??

Dear eewa,

the coating on the MEAs is not to critical. As the gelatin / fibronectin coating is a bit thick (it worked however...) we use PEI coating on the MEAs (Polyethylenamine). This is very cheap and easy to do and works very nicely.

Hi,

cells are available from Bill Claycomb at Louisiana State University in New Orleans:

Hi there. Has anyone tried transfecting the Hl-1 cells & what protocol are you following for that?
