Hi,
I want to use the TCO2 controller to heat and control a custom heating element and I have some questions.
I read in the documentation that I must respect some limits regarding maximum output current, voltage and supply. Moreover, it is said that the sensor typically used is a pt100. Is this mandatory? Could I connect another kind of temperature sensor or the internal front-end and conversion rules from voltage to temperature are right only for a pt100?
Moreover, the resistance of the heating must be between 5 and 100 ohm. Is this the resistance at 0 °C or at any temperature?

Hi Holly,
for a precise control, a PT100 must be used. The new versions of the TCX have an extra port for a Thermocouple Type T. The resistance of the heating element should be between 5 and 100 Ohm, this is valid for any temperature.
