Tigger.....

Post  mcs on Thu Jun 12, 2008 2:25 am

Dear MCS-Worker!
I want to use the Stimulus generator for synchronisation. So we want split the synch-signal: from generator to computer and to an other generator. But the signal is not stable. The direct way from stimulus generator to the second generator induce 1 signal per trigger signal. If the split the Trigger the second generate stimulised not stable, its like a hiccup. Only 75% of the trigger signals induce a signal in the second generator (Rhode/Schwarz).
Is there an idee to solve this problem?

Best wishes
Reich

Hello

What are you using for splitting the signal and how long are your cables?

If you use a standard BNC T-piece, it should be no problem to split the TTL pulse.

Hello,

I would recommend you to measure the input voltage ranges with the oscilloscope. The resistance values of your inputs could be to low compared with the output resistance of the sync output of the STG.
In this case you have to use a fanout.

With kind regards
Gerald
