How to extract data of specified channel? Empty How to extract data of specified channel?

Thanks for you reply, Dr. Fejtl.

I found that the 'nextdata' function in meatools (the original one supplied by the MCStreamSupport) always extract all the 64 channels at the same time. So when I want to get a longer data from some specified channel, I often got a warning of "Out of memory".

I also found a way to fix this problem: extract shorter data for several times and combine them together. However, that job is boring and low efficiency. Is there any easier way to extract data of specified channel?

Another small question: can we keep the array in carbinol for a long time? Or ion-free water is the better choice to store the array?
Thanks again

Hi, your strategy to extract data is currently the only one feasible for electrode raw data streams. For spike streams you can specify a channel (or a set) to be retrieved.
Under Matlab you might want to try the function getraw_uv in the MEA-Tools toolbox. It will do the job using the algorithm you described in the background. The front end is a simple GUI.

As for the carbinol (methyl alcohol, if I'm correct): we keep MEAs in it for weeks sometimes, that should not be and is no problem. Just don't use alkaline solutions, most other stuff is ok.
