Multiple STG1008 System Empty Multiple STG1008 System

Post  Chris Wright Mon Jun 21, 2010 5:23 pm

I am using the 8 channel STG1008 stimulus generator to run a series of byphasic pulses to a panel of electrodes. However, I have two STG1008's, and I would like to stimulate up to 16 electrodes at the same time. I know that multiple stimulators can be used on the same computer, but can they be linked together so that they both trigger the pulses at the same exact time?

Thanks,
Chris

Dear Chris Wright,

Your STG is equipped with SynchOut and TrigIn connector to allow the two devices to communicate with each other.
The TrigIn can be used to send a Trigger pulse simultaneously to both STG devices to start stimulation upon Trigger.

Please see section 4.2 of the Manual for operating multiple STGs, Please see section 10.1 for "how to synchronize".
If you cannot find the Manual, I am glad to mail a copy to you, if you send us you e-mail to support@multichannelsystems.com

Greetings

Thomas

Thank you for the help. I read the online manual, and will try this setup next time I use the STG.
