Real time Time-Frequency multichannel plot
I must analyze the oscillations (to find the theta and gamma oscillations) of a neuron network possibly in real time. Using your devices is it possible? Offline it is possible using for examble sigTOOL in matlab. But I would have an online plot of the time-frequency for different channels. Do you have any suggestion to help me?
Thanks
Ivan

Re: Real time Time-Frequency multichannel plot
Dear Ivan,
you can monotor the spike frequency online on all electrodes, however, it is not really real time. As the data is first loaded in the buffer and analyzed, there is an approximate 1s delay between the actual event and the displayed data. The event based spike frequency can be analyzed using the spike detector in combination with a spike analyzer tool. Please see the manual or online help of MC_Rack for details.

Re: Real time Time-Frequency multichannel plot
the spikesorter tool of MC_Rack can do that. Spikes are detected on all channels according to a threshold or slope. It is then possible to select in the recorder only the spike datastream. You can define the lenght of the spike cutouts. Detailed information you will find in the manual or the online help of Mc_Rack (search for spike detection). There is an application example on the MCS website about spikedetection in organotypic cultures, there you might also find some usefull information.
