splitting huge mcd files
Is there a way to split huge mcd files into smaller files? I want to convert them into txt files ( then to be used by matlab) but can't even open them as the txt file size is too big for my system to handle.

Dear judepj,
You have a number of options to reduce the size of the txt output file. The easiest is to select just a number of channels in the MC DataTool and convert only those into text. You could for example run the conversion in multiple batches to obatin all channels.
Another option would be to re-record the MCD file in MC Rack and break it down into shorter files. In the recorder you can select the duration for the recording, in the replayer you can specify a start point. this will allow you to break the file into shorter files which can then converted using MC Data Tool.
Greetings
