[MEA_Select] Error: Failed to Download
I am trying to download the stimulating electrode configuration with MEA_select but I keep getting Error: Failed to Download.
Very rarely does it go through ok though... test connection always returns OK
I use a serial to usb converter. the port rollout option only gives me COM ports, does that make sense?
what can I do to fix this?
thanks

MEA Select, Download issue
Dear Benmcs,
that is indeed a weird constellation.
If you use a USB-Serial converter MEA select will recognize that as a COM port, so that part is fine.
If you see "connection ok" this indicates that you have selected the correct COM port and the USB-COM
converter works properly.
I have to admit, I never saw a download issue when the connection was reported as ok there have been download issues.
Please try to update / re-install MEA select and check if the problem persists.

I hope this will improve MEA Select functionality

Re: [MEA_Select] Error: Failed to Download
Hi Thomas thanks for your reply.
i think the problem was due to limited usb bandwidth. mc rack sometimes gave me an error as well saying that it could not run the datastream because too little usb bandwidth. the cause of this was the Dino cam which i usually keep running. shutting it down resolved both mc rack complaining as well as the download error in mea select.
probably has something to do with usb2.0 and 3.0.
