data aquisition Empty data aquisition

We are currently running two MEA systems and analysis the spike data in neuroexplore. When you import the files into neuro explorer you get a list of the channels which were active ie c12, c12 c13, c15, c15. If you are comparing multiple files ( we have been having to have multiple files since the computer keeps crashing during our recording see previous message) the second file (which could be a drug treatment) may import c12, c12, c13, c13, c15. when this occurs I have no sure way of knowing whether the c13 from the first file aligns with the first or second c13 in the second file. We have tried to replay and re-record the two meas independent of one another but the computer crashes during replaying.
Is it possible for MCRack to save the data from each mea as two seperate files? Or for us to import it as two seperate files?

thanks
sally

Dear Sally

You cannot assign channels to two different data files with MC_Rack. But the experiment you describe should of course work without any computer crashes. So I would rather try to analyze the crashing problem than to find a workaround.

Dear Sally

Concerning the problem you have with the Neuroexlorer and the double MEA layout A and B: The thing is, that we informed the Neuroexplorer company about the changes in the MC_Rack data format. So far, they have not implemented the tags for MEA A and B. Maybe it would not be too bad if you contacted the Neuroexplorer company as well, to push things.

Best regards, Christine
