External triggering of a 32-channel system: LP filters needed? Empty External triggering of a 32-channel system: LP filters needed?

Post  np_cottaris Mon Nov 08, 2010 7:11 pm

Hello,

I want to trigger stimulation of a 32-channel system (consisting of 4 STG4008 devices) externally, using a single TTL pulse. I plan to send this pulse to Trigger IN of channel #1, and then have the SYNC Out of that channel trigger the remaining 31 channels.

Do I need to interface a separate resistor/capacitor low-pass filter to the BNC connector of each of the 32 channels to avoid ringing, as stated in page 57 of the manual?

Regards,

Nicolas P. Cottaris, Ph.D.

Dear Dr. Cottaris,
this is just a suggestion for a circuit that creates a propper TTL. You can connect the STGs to each other directly.
