Air bubles and perforated MEAs
We use the USB-MEA32-STIM4 system with perforated MEAs. Frequently small air bubles are generated around one of the stimulation electrodes, even prior to slice placement and stimulation, and they are impossible to get rid of. The array is filled with solution according to the MEA application note. This is observed both for new and used MEAs. The outcome is, that during exp contact between the slice and the stimulation electrode decreases and the signals dissapear. The solutions are gassed and heated using the syringe heater and a Constant vacuum pump is used for suction. Any good ideas of what to do?
