Re: Maps for 8x8 Ayanda MEAs
Dear Max
You find a MEA layout in the MEA1060 User Manual:
http://www.mcs-download.com/downloads/manualdownloads/manuals/MEA1060-1_Manual.pdf
The layout is quite simple: The first channel number is the column number, the second is the row number. For example, electrode 34 is in the third column, fourth row.
Please ask if you have any additional questions.
Best regards, Christine (MCS)

Re: Maps for 8x8 Ayanda MEAs
Dear Sir
I also use the 3D MEA chip, but I found that the layout in MC_RACK and the electrode of 3D MEA chip is different. Even, the layout in MC_RACK either could not be changed to the array of 3D MEA chip. Could you help me?
My e-mail is g874259@yahoo.com.tw
Sincerely
JyhJang Sun

I use the 11-18
81-88,
but the the MC-RACK layout and MEA selecet is 11-81

Re: Maps for 8x8 Ayanda MEAs
Dear Jyh-Jang Sun,
as you see in the Ayanda documentation the layout is in both cases 8x8 with the corner position not occupied. This is exactly the same layout as we use for our standard MEAs. The only difference is that on the 3D MEAs Ayanda named the channels 11 - 18 linewise vs. collumwise.
I would suggest to ignore the numbers on the 3D chip and just aplly our standard channelmap and MEA select.

Re: Maps for 8x8 Ayanda MEAs
Dear Jyh-Jang Sun,
As Thomas mentioned it in his reply, we originally inverted the 18 and 81 numbers on our MEAs. The 8x8 matrix electrode layout is identical to the standard 8x8 matrix layout of MCS MEAs. Please ignore these two numbers. We will change this in our next MEA fabrication batch as it seems to generate some confusion... We already changed it on our MEA60 200 Pt GND and MEA60 200 3D GND layouts.
The map file required for the 8x8 matris MEAs is thu the same than for the MCS MEAs (default.cmp or 8x8mea.cmp) that is part of the MC_Rack software.
I have added to our download page all MEA map files (compressed files for easier internet download) at the following address: http://www.ayanda-biosys.com/download.html
