Reading the (compliance) Voltage in Current mode

Sun Mar 17, 2019 9:06 pm by mrklab

In my current mode application I would like to track the voltage over time to assess any drift in the impedance.

Is there a command in the API to read the currently used (i.e. compliance) voltage while in current mode?

I looked through the documentation but could not find anything.

SetOutputRate /GetOutputRate

Tue Jan 15, 2019 6:13 pm by mrklab

I am trying to change the output rate from 50Khz to something smaller.

I used the NET assemblies from inside Matlab (R2018b)
For instance to use 1 Kz I call:

o.SetOutputRate(uint32(1000))
(where o is a handle to the Mcs.Usb.CStg200xDownloadNet object)

I adjust the data and the duration vectors that I pass to the device accordingly, …

Understanding biphasic stimulus in bipolar configuration

Multi Channel Systems - Portal Untitl12

Greetings!

I am using stg4002 for my stimulation experiments.  In a bipolar configuration that I will use (as in the fig),
I want to understand the direction of current in phase I , phase II and during the switch from phase the I to phase II.

Also what happens to the current in the situation when I am not connecting the ground electrode.

Can we set offset to sin wave in MC_stimulus

Wed Sep 16, 2015 7:00 am by Hydrolab

Hello,
We are trying to give voltage to a LED using stg4002, and we tend to give a sine wave with a offset. But we found that MC_stimulus can only give a sine wave with its mean zero. I wander if there is some way we can set an offset to a sine wave stimulus?

best regards

Problems with STG4002 control by McsUsbNET.dll

Mon Jul 27, 2015 11:53 am by Hydrolab320

Hi,

We've recently been trying to control STG4002 by McsUsbNET.dll.
However, as a beginner, we encountered some troubles generating the stimuli we want.
Here are some questions about our code:

1. We could already detect the STG4002 connected to the computer, but we didn't receive the corresponding voltage in the output channel.
2. From the example package offered by MCS online, McsUsbNet.dll …

Bipolar stimulation

Fri Nov 05, 2010 5:24 pm by np_cottaris

Hello,

I have purchased a set of four STG4008 stimulators for driving a 32-electrode stimulating array (for use in retinal stimulation).
I am interested in bipolar stimulation, in which current is sourced from one electrode and sinked in another electrode. According to the manual I can drive a pair of electrodes (say A and B) in this push-pull configuration by connecting electrode A to the + …

Tigger.....

Thu Jun 12, 2008 3:25 pm by mcs

Dear MCS-Worker!
I want to use the Stimulus generator for synchronisation. So we want split the synch-signal: from generator to computer and to an other generator. But the signal is not stable. The direct way from stimulus generator to the second generator induce 1 signal per trigger signal. If the split the Trigger the second generate stimulised not stable, its like a hiccup. Only 75% of the …

Problem with the new STG2008: Sweep light is on

Thu Jun 12, 2008 9:30 am by mcs

Dear MCS,

I have recently purchased a new STG2008 stimulator. In the past, I used exactly the same device loaned to me by Scientifica. When I got our own stim, I just thought I would plug it instead of the previous one and it would work. However, when I switch the power on, the Sweep light turnes yellow even if the stim is not connected to the PC. Moreover, the PC and MC Stim do not see …

Trigger an external stimulator using MC Rack

Mon May 26, 2014 4:02 pm by AdamJackson

Hello,

I am hoping to stimulate my slice using a bipolar wire instead of using the internal STG to stimulate one of the channels using the MC rack software. Is it possible to do this and simultaneously record from the MEA?

Any information would be appreciated

Thanks,
Adam
